Dream BugSchool Canteen
The school canteen is managed by Aramark Catering.
It operates a cashless sytem, so pupils must have a swipe card or fingerscan to identify them when buying food. A permission slip must be completed by a parent/guardian for registration using either of these methods to take place. For an electronic copy of the consent form, please download this file
or email lillie.a@caldicotschool.com
For a paper copy please pop into Castle Office (or ask you child to collect one).
A Parentpay account needs to be credited with money for pupils to spend. A link to the Parentpay website can be found on our links page. Your password and username will have been issued to you, but if you are experiencing any problems logging in please contact Amanda on 01291 426447 or email lillie.a@caldicotschool.com.
Below are the school menus, which run in a 4-week cycle:
Here is the Price List. The price of a standard school meal is £1.84. If you have any queries about the canteen or the balance of your account, please contact the canteen manager, Mr Martyn Jones on 01291 426468.
Free School Meals/Uniform Grant
Many pupils qualify for Free School Meals and therefore also a Welsh Assembly Government School Uniform Grant. Please look at the criteria below; if you feel you are eligible contact your local authority for an application form. (Once approved, eligible pupils have their canteen account automatically credited with the correct amount and use the canteen in the usual way.)
If your child attends an LEA maintained school and you are currently in receipt of one of the following benefits, you will be eligible to claim Free School Meals for them:
• Income Support
• Income based Job Seekers Allowance (if you receive contribution based
jobseekers allowance you will not qualify. Please ask your local Job Centre
if you are not sure which one you receive)
• Child Tax Credit - provided you are NOT entitled to Working Tax Credit
and have an annual household income (as assessed by her majesty's
revenue and customs) that does not exceed £16,190 (if you receive any
amount of working tax credit you will not qualify, even if your income is
less than £16,190. If you were receiving payments that have now stopped
you will need to provide clarification of why they have stopped).
• Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999
