Announcement

GCSE Results, 2019

Students, parents and staff are celebrating GCSE results and personal achievements this morning.

Simon Rees, Head of School (Acting) said: “On behalf of the entire school community, I congratulate our students on their achievements. We are very pleased with how our young people have risen to the challenges of these more robust qualifications and examinations. Today’s results are due to a three way commitment between staff, students and parents. I am delighted to see improved results in English, Science and a number of option subjects, as well as an increase in the percentage of students achieving 5 A*-C grades. The school has also improved its performance in the Welsh Government’s new Capped 9 Points Score.”

Peter Nurcombe, chair of governors added: “I am pleased to see that the hard word invested by students and staff has resulted in improved outcomes for our young people.”
