We had lunch in a beautiful family run tomato greenhouse followed by a drive across tectonic plate boundaries into the rift valley at Thingvellir National Park. Aerosol Challenge

RE: Recent incidents of students’ inappropriate use of aerosols

During the past week, a very small number of our students have used aerosol deodorants unsafely, both in school and at home, which has resulted in them sustaining blisters and burns requiring first aid and/or medical treatment. When asked about their injuries, pupils have stated that they had sprayed the aerosol in close proximity to their skin as a ‘challenge’.

Our students have been addressed by their respective Year Tutors about the dangers of engaging in ‘aerosol challenges’ and reminded that they are not permitted to bring aerosols into school. We ask that you would support us by reinforcing this to your children.
