Brilliant sunshine for a brilliant first day of skiing.Our beginners made fantastic progress, with many starting to tackle gradual turns. More experienced skiers travelled up the mountain and got some good runs in too. Looking forward to resuming lessons tomorrow pic.twitter.com/Jy2hzHWT44

Yesterday we visited the Gulfoss Waterfalls and got to witness an active Geyser. We had lunch in a beautiful family run tomato greenhouse followed by a drive across tectonic plate boundaries into the rift valley at Thingvellir National Park. Can’t wait for today’s adventures! pic.twitter.com/sEyInerrHC

Uniform

First impressions do count and by continually reinforcing our standards of uniform and appearance we aim to prepare our students for the world of work. Furthermore, this sets the foundation for high standards in other aspects of school life, including a positive work ethic and conduct in and around school. Our School uniform is compulsory and we expect all students to attend school dressed smartly in correct uniform at all times.

We recognise that, for families, purchasing uniform and ensuring a child arrives to school dressed appropriately can be a stressful time. To ensure clarity, the school has created a uniform guide designed to support families, and students, with the process by outlining our expectations which, in turn, will help everyone understand our expectations.

Our intention is to ensure that students look smart but not at the undue expense of families. We have ensured as a school that the cost of our uniform is affordable yet of the highest quality. All official items (blazer, tie and sports kit) are only available at our uniform supplier. However, all other items can be purchased from any clothing store or supermarket. We do not expect every item to be purchased from a single supplier.

We ask that all items of school uniform and sports kit are clearly marked with the student’s name for ease of identification.

Uniform items are available from

Kids School Kits

Stationery packs and Pre-Loved uniform are available from the school office, please call or email with any enquiries.

We also operate a uniform supply stock, which includes footwear; blazers; and other uniform for when students need to borrow items while they are replaced and/or where incorrect uniform is worn to school. This is regularly updated throughout the year so items are new.

Stationery and Equipment

Students are expected to bring a pencil case containing a minimum of

  • Blue or black pen;
  • HB pencil;
  • Coloured pencils;
  • Sharpener;
  • Eraser;
  • Ruler;
  • Protractor and compass;
  • Scientific calculator; and
  • Highlighter.

The school cannot accept responsibility for valuables. Parents/Carers are advised not to send students to school with valuable coats, pens, equipment, personal items or large sums of money, as no facilities exist for the safe-keeping of such articles. A pencil case containing 2 pencils, 2 pens, a ruler, a pencil sharpener and an eraser can be bought from the school office for £1.00.
